History

Tutors at London Bartending Academy have working with and training the best cocktail bartenders for over 12 years in London. We actually decided to run the Bar Academy courses accidentally. In Roxy Bar & Screen we have had job applicants from other Bar Schools who, unfortunately for the students, were not capable of even basic bartending.

We looked at the course fees and details of the other schools, and tried to calculate how they were charging people so much money for such ineffective teaching. As a succesful day-to-day cocktail bar we decided to put together a more comprehensive course including much more actual work experience and training from independant organisations outside the London Bartending Academy included in our fee, such as the Bombay Sapphire Experience, the Vinopolis Wine Tour and the Wine & Spirits Education Trust.

As a student of a month-long Bar School, you should expect to aim towards being able to graduate successfully - and to become an event bartender who can comfortably walk into any bar in London. In Roxy Bar we train our in-house employees all year long, and you will recieve the same care and attention.

The main difference between London Bartending Academy and other Bar Schools is that you will leave with a months bartending experience in a London bar on your CV. You will also be able to work in other top bars in the area if you want to increase your work experince - however we do realise that this is also a holiday for many of you so these shifts will be arranged on an individual case at your request. The other bars involved will be very close friends of ours to ensure that you are taught extremely well and very well treated.
